So this is the part when we're supposed to congratulate the Gator Party on accomplishing another one of its platform goals for getting the UF Bookstore to hold a student discount day. Gator says this will alleviate some of the financial burdens of the holiday season.

Except for a few details: Anyone looking to save money during the holidays isn't going to shop at the UF Bookstore anyway, which is notorious for selling overpriced merchandise. Even with a 20 percent discount, you'd still probably shell out more money than you would at another local T-shirt shop or buying books online.

Als Forscher gilt, wer mehr als 50 Prozent seiner Zeit mit Forschung verbringt. Beantwortet haben die Umfrage fast 10.000 Wissenschaftler aus der EU (insgesamt sind es ungefähr drei Millionen). Die ermittelten Netto- und Bruttogehälter wurden mit denen von anderen Berufsgruppen in Europa und mit denen ihrer Kollegen aus Australien, China, Indien, Israel, Japan und den Vereinigten Staaten verglichen sowie auf ihre Richtigkeit geprüft.
T-City Friedrichshafen testet die mobile Visite

In der Leuchtturmsprojektstadt Friedrichshafen werden zehn chronisch Kranke mit einer Herzschwäche im Rahmen einer "mobilen Visite" telemedizinisch betreut. Diese Form der Visite ist das erste Projekt, das die Deutsche Telekom in der siegreichen T-City umsetzt.

Discount gas vouchers under scrutiny

Chinese Petroleum Corp., Taiwan (CPC) yesterday said it will investigate recent claims that its employees have been selling gas vouchers to another government-owned company at a 10 percent discount.
